So I was just recently checking out new shoes to wear and get inspiration off of when I came upon the velvet ankle boots from ASOS. Now let me tell you, I’m a student at college so no way could I afford expensive shoes and these pair of boots were at the cost of £38!

It was hard thinking of letting go of these boots but then I realised that there must be boots that were available exactly like these at a much cheaper price. I wasn’t thinking of getting it off of GumTree or eBay for second hand. No-way ho-zay. So Instead,I got my working glasses on and started searching up all the stores I knew of. It definitely took me alot of time and effort to find you guys the best and most good quality velvet boots there could be.

The first pair of velvet boots I found, which was at a very cheap price, was at Primark. It came at a price of £12. The big problem with these pair of velvet ankle boots were that they looked so unappealing and nothing like the ones I saw on ASOS. No matter how low the price was I could not buy these shoes or even make a review on it.

I then searched up a bit more where I went on sites from New look to Topshop and then I finally found one. Topshop definitely did have velvet ankle boots but I seriously should have slapped myself right then and there because TopShop was never a clothing store to sell their products “cheap” and her I was making a blog for you on cheap wear.

However, I did not give up on the long cycle of let-downs and finally found a store that sold velvet ankle boots for just £29.99 at H&M. YES! £29.99! That was a total of £8 off from the boots that we saw at ASOS. Obviously the shaping of it was abit different but it was definitely not far off from the product that I wanted. Not only did I find these boots at a cheaper price but they were also free from lace. Eventhough the lace may give it that extra statement look, you really don’t want it to take away the actual symbol of those boots, which were the black and white pigmented velvet. This is why H&M’s crushed velvet ankle boots were not just for me but also for you.

I do, however, have a confession to make. Eventhough these boots were cheaper than the ASOS boots, I was still not able to buy them because of its costly price, but maybe one day, H&M will make these types of boots just for us college students.

In the mean time, its all up to you if you want to buy these boots. I guess theres not much to lose, is it? Atleast not £8.
