The many expectations of love

As I close my eyes I remember the good times I had with that special someone. Sometimes, I think we’re so absorbed with this thing called ‘love’ and we crave it so badly that we forget that there’s also bad days to it. We never picture the break-ups and the hurt and pain we will have to face later on in that whole relationship. We can only see what is happening in that present moment and we end up forgetting that being in love with that special someone shouldn’t be temporary, it should be with a person that you can see your future with. Love is not temporary. Love is infinite.

We build our thoughts on those fairy tales, thinking that it’ll end happily when in reality it doesn’t happen that way, as there will always be times where you go through the rough patches of that relationship. You need to remember, the journey of love is not always happily felt. Even if it does go in the worse direction the thing you need to remember is no matter what happens, you will always have yourself. You were there in the beginning of that relationship and are still here at the end of it. The only thing you’ve got to lose in this true battle of love is true respect and love for yourself. Don’t bring your hopes up too much and go with the flow. Remember, love is not a game, love is something that just happens magically. So, no need to get worked up over this thing called love, as falling in love isn’t everything that is needed in life.
